A CrewPOD is a pre-built team of highly vetted audiovisual, production, and event technology professionals who are intentionally assembled based on technical expertise, complementary skill sets, leadership structure, and proven team chemistry. Unlike traditional staffing models that provide individual technicians, CrewPODs are designed to function as cohesive teams that already know how to work together before arriving onsite.
Traditional staffing companies provide individual people to fill positions. CrewPODs provide fully functioning teams.
Instead of assembling a crew from strangers for every event, CrewPODs deploy teams with established communication patterns, leadership structures, workflows, and accountability. The result is faster execution, fewer surprises, and less management required from producers and clients.
Because high performance is created through teamwork, not just individual talent.
Even the most experienced technicians need time to learn how to communicate, collaborate, and solve problems together. CrewPOD members have already established those relationships. They know each other’s strengths, weaknesses, work styles, and expectations, allowing them to perform like an experienced team from the moment they arrive.
CrewPODs support a wide range of live, virtual, and hybrid events, including corporate conferences, general sessions, breakout programs, LED video wall installations, trade shows, expos, product launches, shareholder meetings, live broadcasts, streaming productions, entertainment events, and specialized technical deployments.
CrewPODs can support everything from small executive meetings and breakout rooms to large-scale conventions, arena productions, citywide events, and multi-venue programs.
Because CrewPODs are scalable, multiple PODs can be combined to create larger operational teams while maintaining the leadership, accountability, and team chemistry that make the model effective.
CrewPODs currently operate in major production markets including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Phoenix, Houston, Orlando, Boston, and New York, with additional markets continuously being developed.
Travel deployments are also available for projects outside established service areas.
CrewPODs are built using a combination of technical qualifications, specialized skills, leadership capability, communication style, reliability, professional reputation, and team compatibility.
Every member is evaluated through our CrewIQ™ assessment process to ensure they contribute positively to overall team performance.
Hiring experienced freelancers provides talented individuals.
CrewPODs provide talented individuals who have already demonstrated they can perform effectively together as a team.
The difference is similar to the difference between recruiting all-star athletes and fielding a championship team. Individual talent matters, but coordinated execution wins championships.
CrewDirect Access™ allows qualified clients to engage approved CrewPOD resources directly through the CrewPOD platform without navigating traditional labor broker models.
This creates greater transparency, faster response times, stronger working relationships, and improved efficiency for both clients and crew members.
CrewIQ™ is the proprietary evaluation framework used to assess CrewPOD members.
It measures more than technical ability. CrewIQ™ evaluates professionalism, communication, reliability, leadership, work ethic, show execution, teamwork, adaptability, specialized skills, and overall contribution to team success.
The goal is to identify professionals who consistently elevate the performance of the entire team.
CrewPODs was created to solve a persistent challenge in live event production: the inefficiency of building a new crew from scratch for every project.
For decades, producers have spent significant time sourcing personnel, evaluating qualifications, filling gaps, managing team dynamics, and mitigating risk. CrewPODs replaces that process with pre-qualified teams that arrive ready to execute.
CrewPODs was created to solve one of the biggest inefficiencies in event production: building a new team for every event.
Traditional staffing models require producers to repeatedly assemble crews from available individuals, often with limited knowledge of how those people will work together. This creates uncertainty, management overhead, and unnecessary risk.
CrewPODs replace that uncertainty with pre-qualified teams that arrive ready to perform.
Because labor is only part of the equation.
The true challenge in live event production is not finding people. It is creating teams that can execute consistently under pressure. CrewPODs focuses on team performance, operational efficiency, accountability, and reliability rather than simply filling positions on a labor order.
The result is a better experience for producers, agencies, AV companies, and event owners alike.
